“God has given each of you a gift. Use it to help each other. This will show God’s loving-favor. If a man preaches, let him do it with God speaking through him. If a man helps others, let him do it with the strength God gives. So in all things God may be honored through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 4: 10-11)
Using your gifts does not have to look like joining any particular program at our church, but if you feel called to serve with us, we would love to have you! Each of our ministry areas are led by a dedicated team of church members and supported by incredible groups of volunteer helpers. Below are some of the ways to participate in the work of ministry at SBCC as a helper. Fill out the form to be connected with the leaders of the teams that interest you!

Greeters and Hosts
Help us create a welcoming environment at SBCC by greeting at the door, or be a designated host, making yourself available to seek out and embrace the newcomer.

Setup or Breakdown
Prepare the space for our congregation to meet the Lord on Sunday mornings by helping us set up chairs, tables, and tents before church or by helping us breakdown after service.

Youth Ministy
Reach and love the local youth community on the North Shore by serving in our Youth Group. All volunteers are required to pass a background check in order to serve in this ministry.

Hands of Hope
Join us on Tuesdays from 11-1:30pm for our homeless outreach, Hands of Hope. Together we provide groceries, hot meals, clothing, showers, haircuts and more! We also give a ‘message of hope’ and sing worship songs together with guests.

Nursery Ministry
Support families with young children by volunteering in our Nursery at SBCC to provide a safe, reliable, and loving environment to meet the needs of babies and families during Sunday morning service. A background check Is require to serve in this ministry.

Prayer Team
Be available to support and encourage our congregation through prayer by joining our Prayer Team. Volunteers serve on Sunday mornings by praying over whoever needs during the time of communion.

Slides and Tech
Support worship on Sunday mornings by volunteering to run slides or use your tech skills behind the scenes.

Sunday Security
Help us provide a safe space to worship the Lord by serving as security at the entrance while guests arrive to church and being on duty during the service.

Young Adult Ministry
Join our Young Adult Ministry team to be involved in hosting our monthly Young Adult Nights at SBCC. Help is always appreciated for the setup, hosting, and breakdown of these fun events!
