  • Yes! We want to empower each member of the body of Christ at Sunset to use their gifts to build others up in the faith. This may take the form of serving in a formal ministry, or it may simply mean doing life in community in a highly intentional way. Whatever the case, we want equip you to do the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

Committing To SBCC as ‘your church’.

All followers of Jesus are called to be committed to a local family of believers. In a transient community like the North Shore, sometimes it’s difficult to know who is here to stay. To let us know you are committed to being here, and want to be treated like part of the family, click below!

  • Join a Dinner Group

Dinner Groups are small home gatherings where we do community around a table, and conversation around God’s Word. We believe this practice is both biblical and cultural. We are told the early church “devoted themselves” to breaking bread together (Acts 2). And, when Glen Powell, the first pastor of SBCC, came to Haleiwa in the 1940’s, he said one thing that made a huge impression on him was how people in Hawaii invited him in for meals. • Are you ready to commit your life to Christ?

Baptism identifies us with Jesus in His death and resurrection (Romans 6). If you’ve placed your faith in Christ as the One who came to pay for your sins on the cross and who rose again to give you His resurrection life, we would love to baptize you and then help you follow and obey Jesus with your whole life (Matt. 28:19-20).
