WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Whether you’re an avid photographer wanting to refresh and learn more tips; or a new photographer just starting out, this workshop is for you! Designed to be a hands-on workshop, you will work on your own photography skills while being taught by professional commercial photographers. Becoming great at photography means you are able to balance technique with art.
WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP
In order to get the best out of this workshop, you will need the following:
Mike has been working as a professional for over 25 years. He is a traveling surf and lifestyle photographer from Santa Cruz, California. Mike photographs the NSSA Western Regionals and the NSSA Finals every year and follow Northern California groms as they learn to compete at Trestles and Huntington Beach. The Hawaii winter season is also a yearly trip for Mike. “I love shooting NSSA events because the stoke of groms is amazing and uplifting. I also shoot outdoor portraiture and coastal landscapes. Wherever I am in the world, I’m never far from the coast.” Mike will be teaching about post production processes as well as framing techniques.
Pete has been a commercial photographer for over 15 years in Australia. His work includes portraiture, architectural, event and landscape photography. Recently Pete has become the associate pastor at SBCC and heads up the community workshops. “I love capturing the show that God puts on every day. Especially here on the North Shore. Shooting the amazing breaks is like a moving landscape! Every day is different.” Pete will be hosting the workshop as well as covering the fundamentals of photography.
The Fee for the workshop is $50 due before the first session
